Long ago, people discovered the magical feeling of writing on paper. Ever since, paper notebooks have been widely available and remain the most beloved way to capture thoughts through scribbles and sketches.
Fast forward a few centuries to today, deep in the digital age. Laptops now seem like natural extensions of ourselves. Yet, most people still appreciate the benefits of writing and drawing in traditional notebooks. There’s a growing love for physical notebooks — and it’s scientifically proven that writing boosts creativity and keeps your memory sharp. Plus, it’s much more personal when someone writes across from you in a meeting, rather than typing away on a laptop.
The problem is that people love writing so much that the demand for paper keeps growing. To meet this demand, the paper industry produces massive amounts of single-use paper — and this has serious consequences for the planet.

Stone paper is the sustainable alternative to conventional “pulp” paper. It’s a tree-free paper mainly made from ground stone (Calcium Carbonate). Its production uses no water or bleaching agents, resulting in 67% lower CO₂ emissions.
Unfortunately, our nature is under pressure — every minute, enough trees are cut down to cover 40 football fields. We believe this destruction must stop. That’s why, in partnership with Trees for Kenya, we plant a tree for every MOYU notebook purchased, creating new ecosystems and supporting communities in Kenya.
